ΑΝΘΡΩΠΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΜΗΧΑΝΗ – ΑΕΙΦΟΡΟΣ ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗ
Μια αυθόρμητη performance μέσα στην πραγματική ηχορύπανση
Το έργο «Ο Θόρυβος Βγαίνει στο Φως» αποτελεί την πρώτη δημιουργία της σειράς καλλιτεχνικών βίντεο:
Σημαντική σημείωση: Ο θόρυβος που ακούγεται στο βίντεο είναι πραγματικός. Καταγράφηκε ζωντανά κατά τη διάρκεια της performance και δεν αποτελεί ηχητικό εφέ ούτε προστέθηκε εκ των υστέρων.
Η σειρά διερευνά τη σχέση του ανθρώπου με τη μηχανή και θέτει ερωτήματα γύρω από τα όρια της ανάπτυξης: Μπορεί μια δραστηριότητα να ονομάζεται αειφόρος όταν επιβαρύνει την υγεία, το περιβάλλον και την καθημερινή ζωή των ανθρώπων που βρίσκονται γύρω της; Ποιος καθορίζει το αποδεκτό όριο ανάμεσα στην παραγωγή και στην ποιότητα ζωής;
Η συγκεκριμένη performance γεννήθηκε αυθόρμητα στην αυλή του En Lefko Awareness Studio, μέσα στον συνεχή θόρυβο των αεροτουρμπινών του γειτονικού θερμοκηπίου.
Η ανθρώπινη φωνή και η κιθάρα δεν προσπαθούν να καλύψουν τον θόρυβο. Τον συναντούν, αντιστέκονται και συνομιλούν μαζί του, μεταφέροντάς τον από την ιδιωτική αυλή στον δημόσιο χώρο. Η όχληση μετατρέπεται σε μαρτυρία και η καλλιτεχνική πράξη γίνεται ένας τρόπος να ακουστεί αυτό που, ενώ ακούγεται καθημερινά, συχνά παραμένει αόρατο.
Αυτή η ηχητική συνάντηση εξελίσσεται μέσα στην ίδια την αυθόρμητη μουσικοαφηγηματική σύνθεση. Περνά από διαδοχικά στάδια έντασης, αντίστασης και διαλόγου, ώσπου, μετά από λίγα λεπτά, γεννά κάτι εντελώς νέο: μια απρόβλεπτη μουσικοαφηγηματική μορφή, η οποία δεν υπήρχε πριν από αυτή τη συνάντηση.

THE NOISE COMES TO LIGHT
An Improvised Performance Within Real Noise Pollution
HUMAN AND MACHINE – SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
“The Noise Comes to Light” is the first work in a series of artistic videos exploring the relationship between human beings and machines, while raising questions about the limits of development.
Can an activity be described as sustainable when it affects human health, the environment and the everyday lives of those living around it? Who determines the acceptable boundary between production and quality of life?
This performance emerged spontaneously in the courtyard of En Lefko Awareness Studio, within the continuous noise produced by the ventilation turbines of the neighbouring greenhouse.
Important note: The noise heard in this video is real. It was recorded live during the performance. It is not a sound effect and was not added afterwards.
The human voice and the guitar do not attempt to cover the noise. They encounter it, resist it and enter into dialogue with it, carrying it from a private courtyard into the public sphere. Environmental disturbance becomes testimony, and the artistic act becomes a way of making heard something that, although present every day, often remains unseen.
This encounter with sound evolves within the spontaneous music-narrative composition itself. It moves through successive stages of tension, resistance and dialogue, until, after several minutes, it gives birth to something entirely new: an unexpected music-narrative form that did not exist before this encounter.
